Yesterday, on 09/11/2025, at approximately 20:10, a fight broke out between two groups of people,
including (a) Mohin (21), (b) Joy (22) (member of a local youth gang) and (b) Shahriar Saikat (26) (recently granted bail in a weapons case) of Tongi Bazar Bharan area, who were visiting in front of Diamond Tower, Ward No. 56, Amjad Ali Girls School Road, Gazipur City Corporation, Tongi East Police Station, over the expansion of dominance in the area.

In the said fight, 1) Tasin (19), HSC student of Uttara High School and College. Father: Nadim, 2) Abir (19), father: Amjad Hossain, 3) Siam (18), father: Majedul Sarb Sang, Bou Bazar Police Station- Tongi East, Gazipur Metropolitan City were seriously injured.

Injured (1) Tasin (19) was hit on the right wrist, his right hand was severed on the spot and his left hand was seriously injured. Local people rescued him and took him to Tongi Government Hospital. After receiving first aid, 1/2 of the injured were referred to Dhaka Pangu Hospital. And injured No. 3 was admitted to Tongi Government Hospital.

Tension is high in the area. Tongi East Police Station is present at the scene.

It is initially believed that members of the Kishore gang committed the incident with the aim of gaining dominance in the area.

c) Shahriar Saikat (26) (accused recently granted bail in the arms case).

Names and addresses of the injured: –
a) Tasin (19), (HSC student Uttara High School and College), father: Nadim,
b) Abir (19), father- Amjad Hossain,
c) Siam (18), father- Majedul, all residents of Bou Bazar, Thana- Tongi East, Gazipur Metropolitan City.

Since the incident, Tongi East Police Station, Gazipur Metropolitan Police, has launched a drive to arrest those responsible for the incident.
